makes sure that you no longer have to worry about costly last minute
misunderstandings.
Automated Itinerary Remarks insure that all passengers and travel
agents are advised in writing (fax or email) of important information,
without agent intervention.
makes sure that you no longer need to be concerned with costly last
minute misunderstandings which might regularly occur due to an agent's
error or failure to advise of rules conditions and procedures. In
addition to regular itinerary remarks that can be entered by the
agent for a specific reservation,
provides the manager with the option of adding Automated Remarks
to the system. These Automatedl Remarks are automatically printed
(faxed or emailed) at the bottom of the itinerary each time one
is printed.
evaluates the components of each itinerary as it is printed and
adds the appropriate remarks in accordance with the manager's setup
and specifications. This insures that the agents never forget to
advise passengers and travel agents of any important information.
To avoid cluttered
itineraries with many remark lines that do not apply to a specific
reservation, the system is set up to evaluate each reservation in
two ways:
PRODUCT SENSITIVE
REMARKS: Managers may setup the system to print only if a specific
type of product is booked. For instance, if a car rental segment
is booked the system may print, "You must have a valid drivers license
and a major credit card at time of car rental". Of course, you may
not wish for this remark to appear if the passenger did not book
a car rental, thus cluttering the itinerary. Another example is
on a charter air segment. You may wish to print "Check in at least
2 hours before departure at the United Air Lines ticket counter"/
Once again, this remark will appear only if a charter air segment
is booked in this reservation.
TRAVEL AGENCY
/ PASSENGER SENSITIVE REMARKS: In addition to the above, each
universal remark may be set up to automatically print if a particular
reservation was received from a travel agency only, if it was received
directly from the passenger, or both. This is very handy as you
may wish to advise the passenger of different information than the
travel agency or use different terminology. For example, when booked
directly by the passenger, you may wish the itinerary to print "Thank
you for choosing ABC Tours", and when booked by a travel agency
it may print "Your Travel Agent and ABC Tours thank you for your
valued business." In yet another situation you may wish to print
"Valid passport is required for this trip" regardless of whether
the reservation was received from a travel agent or a passenger.
